Download counter for your website

Show how many downloads have been started, without confusing downloads with page views. Prepare code for WordPress, Blogger, or any HTML website. Files are not stored by Rusadix Tools: visitors are redirected to the authorized destination.

Verified file registration

To protect people downloading files, the website and destination must be approved before activation. You can prepare and preview the embed code, but downloads will not be counted until registration is complete. Public self-service registration is not available yet.

Prepare your download counter

If you have a registered counter ID, check it and generate two separate snippets: a read-only display and a download button.

What does the counter measure?

It records download starts accepted by the service, not page loads, reading terms, checking a box, displaying the widget, clicks on other links or completed installations. Anti-abuse limits and outages can leave actual downloads uncounted.

Can I update the file while preserving my total?

Yes. A counter ID remains the same while an authorized administrator updates the registered file URL. For example, an app can move from APK 0.3.0 to a newer version without resetting the accumulated count. Changing the target requires domain authorization.

Does it count repeat downloads by the same person?

Each new authorized action may be counted even if the same person makes it. Replays of the same action are deduplicated. The system does not identify unique people or prove that a transfer has finished.

Where does it work?

It is designed for HTML forms on WordPress, Blogger and other websites. Before going live, the file and website origin must be registered. The visual widget uses a read-only GET request; the button uses POST and redirects to the approved file.
