Choosing a format
Code 128 is useful for internal labels and stock. EAN-13, UPC-A and EAN-8 are retail symbologies. ITF-14 is used on cartons. Code 39 supports uppercase letters and digits.
Commercial use and registration
Making an EAN or UPC image does not register a GTIN or authorize retail use. If you sell products, check GS1 and the retailer requirements.
