Choose an image
Static JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 40 MB.
Direct conversion
PNG ↔ JPG
Useful when you need transparency or, conversely, a more compatible JPG that is often smaller for photographs.
WebP
Convert between WebP, JPG and PNG. If the browser cannot encode WebP natively, Rusadix uses a local WebAssembly fallback encoder.
New copy
The original is not modified. The tool creates and checks a new image before downloading it.
What changes when you convert
Changing format re-encodes the image. PNG preserves transparency and uses lossless compression; JPG does not support transparency and uses lossy compression; WebP can support transparency and lossy or lossless compression depending on the browser and encoding. The tool keeps the original width and height, but file size can change substantially depending on the image and selected format.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert PNG to JPG?
Yes. If the PNG has transparency, transparent areas become white because JPG does not support an alpha channel.
Can I convert WebP to JPG or PNG?
Yes. If the browser can decode the WebP, you can convert it to JPG, PNG or re-encode it as WebP. On browsers such as Safari/iOS, Rusadix uses a local WebP fallback encoder when native encoding is unavailable. The output is reopened and verified before download.
